All Change

Following our 2017 AGM, for the first time in a long time, we have an almost completely new committee.  Please see the updated Contacts page for more information. Thank you to the outgoing committee for all the hard work over the last year (and previous ones), and the best of luck to our fresh new team. Christine

Lewis’s 50th Birthday Meal

On Sunday evening, 20 members of King’s Lynn Plus took to the road to participate in another of our favourite activities – eating! To celebrate Lewis’ 50th birthday we went to Arbuckles in Downham Market and Christine managed to find a recipe for diabetic carrot cake.  Bill paying was the usual pandemonian of calculation and recalculations best left to the ladies,  and as always, they got there!

Ten Pin Bowling

Last Tuesday we had one of our favourite and long established evenings out at Strikes in King’s Lynn. Despite a few of us not being able to bowl due to various injuries, the form book ran pretty much to form.  We usually play 2 games with a combined total adding to the excitement. The final positions were: Alan             204 Colin           200 Dawn C   Read more…

New Editor

Hello My name is Paul and I would like to introduce myself as the new editor of this site for at least the next 12 months.  I have been in King’s Lynn Plus for a fair while, and during this time have made many life long friends, both in our group, as well as from groups all over the country. Gone to the Dogs

Friday evening saw a small group of us head to Peterborough to try and win our fortune at the Greyhound stadium.  This a regular event that we do two or three times a year, and the stadium tickets offer very good value with food thrown in. Mostly we were disappointed on the betting front, no-one won their fortune, athough I believe Dawn C did manage to get most of her stake money back over the Read more…

Please bear with us while a new “website updater” person is trained –  due to other committments we have been neglecting this side of the website for a while now, but all should be rectified shortly! New programme to be uploaded in the next few days

New Members Night

Once again I have been rather remiss in not keeping the website up to date – for anyone who is wondering, the group is alive and very well indeed, having recently welcomed a few new faces to our regular meetings and weekend activities.  We are missing a few months on the programme page, but I will shortly be uploading the latest programme which will take us through to the end of July, during which time Read more…

Full Steam Ahead!

All hands on deck now, preparing for WASH 2012 – looking to be a good event again this year and holding the numbers from last year too, which is great.  Next week’s meeting is the last moment preparation for those staying, arranging who brings the tea and coffee and other essentials for each of the caravans. Next week also sees us return to Tuesday night meetings – its been difficult to find a night thats Read more…

New Programme/Scalextric

New programme is now available online, and coming up is the Scalextric challenge this weekend – having had a rest for a year its now time to race small plastic cars around tracks which are replicas of actual race tracks around the world, followed by a few beers and a smashing meal at a local pub, and an overnight camp in the beer garden. Hope the rain holds off for the campers!
